Overview-Mining Division
Mining is the extraction of valuable minerals or other geological materials from the Earth, usually from an ore body, metalliferous ore, vein, coal seam, placer deposit. The division plays an important role by mine planning and design for extracting precious mineral deposits using various modern scientific instruments. In addition, it helps to solve mine related various industrial issues such as drilling, blasting, mine supporting, water management, landslide etc. Moreover, various kinds of research are done for various mined materials like coal, limestone, hardrock and mine waste as well as coal fly ash as a wastage fuel. The aim of the division is to utilize the indigenous raw materials to meet the optimum needs of the nation. The division also capable of providing technical support to the various government and non-government organization of the country.
